My focus in these short articles is to share my personal experience and provide a modern interpretation of each of the 20 precepts, both in the dojo and in life in general. In no way do I claim to have "the" insight to what Funakoshi was thinking when he wrote them. Nor do I think my interpretation is applicable for everyone. With this context, I share my thoughts with you humbly and sincerely. I hope you gain or validate your own personal insights in my writing, and explore how they can benefit you in many aspects of your life.

Posted by
Unknown
The March edition of The Shotokan Way is available for review. This month's edition features an in-depth article on the passing of Sensei Randy Williams and an excellent article on training ground techniques while at home or in close quarters. On behalf of Way of Life Shotokan Karate we would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends and students of Sensei Randy Williams. Karate is a close knit community and the loss of someone like him is a loss to all of us all who train.
Please check out the latest edition and we will continue to provide you with links and resources from some of the best online shotokan resources that we have found.

Congratulations to everyone who passed their belt examinations Friday night. Their new rank is an example of how attending classes on a regular basis, hard work, effort, energy, focus and perseverance pays off.
We are proud of their achievement and look forward to continuing their karate training with them as they progress even further at our school.
